Dori and David met at Pete's Tavern on Irving Place in Gramercy Park on June 9th, 2022. After a few drinks, the TV in the bar room proved too small to watch the playoff hockey. They continued their first date at a second bar in the area where they both wished the night wouldn't end. On the way home, David texted his mother, telling her "She's the one."

Dori and David canceled their plans for the next night and saw each other less than 12 hours later, enjoying a beautiful summer night on the water in Manhattan. Soon after, they realized they couldn't stay away from each other. They spent time at Yankees games and David's apartment rooftop; on the beaches and visiting family on Long Island and New Jersey; traveling for long weekends to visit friends; and exploring their own city during the holidays.

Dori moved in with David a few months after meeting. Naturally, they continued to grow, learning more about each other, and sharing their love every day.

David asked Dori to marry him on August 4th, 2023 along Gramercy Park. They were joined by their families at Pete's shortly after.

Now they're counting down the days to beginning their journey as the Schwartz's in October 2024.
